[...] If you’ve been following the comments here on plaintxt.org, you might have noticed (a) that Simplr and Barthelme now have patch files for FAlbum 0.6.4. You might have also noticed that I commented the day before that there’s a new version of FAlbum. Everything thus far as been good news. Now the bad. [...]

[...] We’ve setup an account on Flickr where we will be posting most of our pictures, and occassionally linking them to this blog. Through the magic of the Wordpress blogging engine and the FAlbum plugin, whenever you refresh our main page, the blog grabs eight random pictures from that Flickr account and incorporates them into the page.  So, if we were you, then I’d not just subscribe to this blog, but also to our Flickr stream to get the full Synthesis experience. Hi.
I have a problem with the first step of the initial setup that is done at wordpress options tab. There are two steps. But I cant get past the first one. When I click on it, it displays Success on the flickr page and then I go back but it is still there and when I press step 2 it says first do the step 1. I would appreciate any help.
    Best’

Ciao, e ancora complimenti.

I’m working with WP 2.0.2 and FAlbum 0.6.5 and I have the “friendly” permalinks on. I tried to turn FAlbum Friendly URLS on but I don’t seem to be able to get it working. I added the FAlbum rewrite rules before the permalinks one, but still, if I type /photos I get a 404 page. Any ideas?

Me again. I did the french translation as I saw there was none. No attachment possible in this forum, so where should I send it ?

what mauro is saying is this:

hi, compliments on the plug-in. I tested the latest release and it’s all working great. The only problem I encountered was regarding viewing the comments. If the Flickr comments are in HTML your plug-in converts it to simple text. Naturally, it’s clear that your plug-in does not suport HTML so this is not a bug. Bye, and again compliments.

    Hi

This is a great plugin, I’ve seen it working, but I’m having trouble. Please help.

I have set up falbum 6.5 to work with my wordpress 2 blog at http://www.multimedian.co.uk/wordpress/

I have a page set up called “photos” which is linked to
    http://www.multimedian.co.uk/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/falbum/wp/album.php

this works fine and displays a page showing latest pics and a gallery.
Unfortunatly this is where it goes wrong, if I click either link, for example the 2nd gallery link..
    http://www.multimedian.co.uk/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/falbum/falbum-wp.php?album=72157594146530226

i get page cannot be found.

Looking in my falbum files i note there is no “falbum-wp.php” file in that location, neither was there in the version 6.0 or 6.5 downloaded zip files I have.

Am I doind something silly. Please help, its driving me nuts.

    Ian

Ok, how come I’m the only one who’s Falbum doesn’t work. It keeps saying there is no such page >> falbum-wp.php? It never came with the winzip files and I did download it many times to check. Even the other versions…

Do you know how I could customize my falbum page so that there is no sidebar and the pictures appear in the center of the page and up closer to the margin?

    I’m on the disconnected theme.
I will probably try to do it myself, but as a newbie at this any help would be TREMENDOUSLY appreciated. I usually spend hours trying to do simple things like moving margins. I think I know of a way but I don’t want to change my whole blog’s layout, just the falbum page.
thanks for any help you can give me :D
You will in turn receive a thousand good karma points and I’ll write a whole blog post thanking you with a link to your site. :T

I tried to get this up and running on a test blog running 2.0.1 with the widgets plugin being the only other one that’s active. When I do the .htaccess update I get a 500 server error, and the plugin won’t work without that .htaccess update. Yes, I followed the instructions.

    Hello,

I installed the plugin AND activated it. I don’t see it anywhere on my site nor as a widget? How can I use this? I do have a flicker account that works….

    Please let me know..
