FAlbum - 0.5.1

FAlbum - A WordPress plugin that allows you to display your Flickr photos and photosets on your site.

New in FAlbum 0.5.1:

  • Fixed a friendly url / .htaccess issue - which can cause .htaccess file corruption
    • The WP method that was being used to update the .htaccess file was not inserting a new line character after the insertion of the # END comment marker. Causing the code to insert the following into the .htaccess file (# END WordPress# BEGIN FAlbum). There should have been a new line before the second #.
  • Fixed an issue the was causing missing localized text on the admin page on some servers
  • Photoset/tag names now show in the breadcrumb instead of “Index”

Thank you, to those who created and sent patches.

    FAlbum

FAlbum is a plugin for WordPress. The current version is 0.5.1 released today. FAlbum turns your Flickr photosets into albums and forms a gallery using your existing CSS. I have tried different ways to post photos on this blog, and haven’t found…

[...] Girls Night In was a success! Sierra, Cosmo Dawg and I relaxed and cuddled ALOT! Unfortunately Sierra fell asleep before the movie even started - kids these days - they have no attention span! Afterwards I FINALLY finished my !$#%%^ thank you cards. Much as I appreciate gifts - I HATE, no DETEST doing thank you cards - they’re a neccessary evil (kinda like husbands). To celebrate I had a glass of wine and set out to upgrade my WordPress to 1.5.2 (yeah, I know I’m lazy). You see - I absolutely HAD to upgrade. Valerie introduced me to this awesome kick ass plugin: Falbum - it posts my flikr photos right into my wordpress template! How freaking cool is that? Don’t beleive me? Then check it out! Nice eh? I’ve also installed it for Konnor’s Mom. The downside is that I’ve been putting off converting my page template to use the theme editor functionality of WordPress - hence the barebones look. But never fear - I shall fix it next week (once the weekend is over - I’d rather spend my time with Cosmo Boy, even if he is a necessary evil ). Anyways - I’m off to get some beauty sleep as Sierra will have me up to feed in a few hours… Have a great weekend! [...]

I’ve just upgraded my FAlbum and discovered one problem. The tags in each of the photos.
I’ve quite a lot of tags for each picture and the tag words overlap instead of going to the second line.
Please click my name to the link and you’ll know what I’m trying to refer. Thank you.
(Before, in version 0.4 the tags are under the picture)

For some unknown (to me) reason i can no longer access the control panel from the admin section. I was wondering if there was some way to call it manually?

I’m glad you finally released a version that fully works again (well, almost but good enough). I’ve updated the Dutch locale as well. You can download it here.

Great Plugin! However, I am a little gray about how to actually get it to work. I made a link to my photo site and when I click on it, I get the 404 error. HELP! I am working to launch this blog, but wanted it fully operational first… minus the ads and errors. If you can assist, I would greatly appreciate it.

    Thanks.
