You left a message on my blog about mod_rewrite, but my server does not support that. I’m going to install the new version of this plugin — thank you very much for such a beautiful work. Keep it up, I plan to roll this plugin out on two other WP blogs I administer.

This is a terrific plugin! It worked right out of the box, which was a pleasant surprise after I’ve been struggling to get the flickr gallery plugin to work with my host before. Adapting it to my theme was also a breeze. Thanks!

Thank you for this exquisite solution!!!
One note that may not be already covered:
In installing this under several circumetances, I discovered that unless your theme has the new 1.5 default style parts
(ie: header.php, sidebar.php, footer.php, index.php)
Then the plugin and resulting gallery will not load your theme correctly. Many people have ported their themes using the Podz method, which leaves the user with a simple index.php a searchform.php and a style.css (as well as a Kubrick Searchform.php for Kubrick users.)
the FAlbum plugin will go to the default files and use those if it doesn’t locate them within your theme. this can cause percieved errors, and discourage users even though the problem is your theme, and not the plugin.
To solve the problem:
assuming your theme’s files are annotated, grab the header section and create a file called “header.php”
Do the same for the footer, the sidebar, and the searchform.
Everything should be ok after that. Thanks again, this is a superb plugin.

Having the same trouble as Andreas, only on 1.5.2.
Assuming its something simple in the setup?
This is the first plugin I’ve installed, so I may be missing something basic.thx,
Robin -
Robin, are you still having the problem?
-
Thanks for the great plugin! It is very useful and easy to set up.
One request - on a photoset index page you have as a breadcrumb something like this:
Home » [title of set]. The title displays there just fine. Then, when you go to an individual image, the breadcrumb changes to Home » Index » whatever. Could you make the Index list the set title instead of “index”?
Thanks!

I thought your plugin was great, and I gave it a quick trail run on my website. I decided I wanted to uninstall it for now, and probably add it again later, but in uninstalling, I’m having one problem: my /photo/ directory is still redirecting to /blog/wp-content/plugins/falbum/falbum-wp.php . How can I set this back to normal?
Thanks for your help.

just delete the “falbum-stuff” from the .htaccess
-
Duh…. I should have caught that. Thanks!

Excellent plugin! I had been looking for a plugin like this for some time already. Kudos to you, Elijah.
PS: Is there any way to make script automatically display all the tags associated with my Flickr account? That would be really cool, as I’d like people to be able to browse through my site using tags, instead of photosets.

Hi! Excellent plug-in! I only have one small problem, which is the following: in flickr I created a set that is visible only for family and friends. In the plug-in configuration, I set the option ‘Show private photos’ to true. This works fine, in the blog I can see all the photos in the set. However, when I press ”View as slide-show’, I get an error message in IE saying: “no such photos found!”. In Firefox everything works! Do you know of this problem?

I also installed the plugin, activated it, and totally am lost at the “Within the WP admin console navigate to Plugins -> FAlbum” step… am I to use WP’s plugin editor to change something?
Because I see no “FAlbum button” within the wordpress admin pages…Some plugins like counterize add an admin page. Courterize has its under the “manage” tab.
I’m on WP 1.5.2 -
indeed an FAlbum link does appear per read me notes while using firefox.
but not on safari.obviously i’m on os x.
… interesting.
at least you know what is going on so you can alter your readme to suggest firefox to os x users.
later,

… and a further clarification.
after re-reading your notes i noticed that firefox was logged into wordpress as the admin user while safari was logged in as my default user (the one i use to post…)
as the admin page is only set to be seen by user level 10 that explains what happened.
also http://www.johram.com/blog/wp-content/plugins/falbum/falbum-wp.php looks ass ugly.
i need to modify the falbum.php file to point to the correct theme as i’ve hacked my theme a bit. -
Nope… thanks for askin.
