FAlbum – A WordPress plugin that allows you to display your Flickr photos and photosets on your site.

Thanks for the great plugin… it’s much easier to install than Flickr Gallery!
I’ve found some bugs:
-Setting the number of photos to show per page actually shows 1 more than the number specified.
-When used with some themes, the sidebar gets messed up.
-If thumbnails are set (100 x 75) to be shown on pages, the layout is broken when pics are not the same size (example: http://allen.host-dot.com/photos/album/681136)
Suggestions:
-Make page selector for sets page more noticible (maybe make it like page selector within sets), and add to the top also
-Ability to set size of thumbnails for sets

FAlbum WAS working great – then I upgraded. The upgrade went fine, but then I tried to change the maximum width in the options and it burped. Now all the links to my albums and photos are giving a 404.
Here’s what’s in my .htaccess:

Bug: Setting an unlimited number of photos per page returns a division by zero error.
Also, “Page:” is still shown.
Ignore what I said earlier – I figured out the problem and got things working fine again. It was an .htaccess problem, probably because of leftover rules from before the upgrade.
Thank you so much for creating this plugin and fixing the problems with version 0.2. I’ve installed it, made a few modifications to get it to work with my template (only had to add another above the get sidebar etc) and translated everything that needed it into Dutch. I hope that’s okay. So if anyone is interested in this version, please feel free to contact me through my website (go to Impressum > Contact). Im having a bit of trouble downloading the FAlbum Files. I keep getting an error when I try to open the zip file. I says “Cannot open file: it does not appear to be a valid archive. If you downloaded this file try to download the file again.” I will try to download it from another computer but I wanted to know if this was a known problem.
What did you do to get it working again? My installation is having the same problem.
Okay – I fixed it. I just specified “photos/” as the URL rather than “/photos/” and it worked.
My fix above worked, but the “Previous” and “Next” picture links are now broken 
The Options>Falbum doesn’t show up, I’m the only admin and owner of the blog and I have Level: 10.
So that’s not the problem at hand, so what is?
The plug-in page has moved in this version. It’s now under Plugins>Falbum.
The zip file has been fixed.
Cool.. download it and got it to work.. but I did notice a little bug.
If you tell it to resize a photo and the photo has “notes” (the little squares that you can put on the photo with diffrent comments) it wont rezise the squares that show where the notes are on the pics. So I find that the images i have notes on the page reneders with squares of notes off of the pictures and on other parts of the page.
Is there a way to disable the “notes” from rendering from within the plug in code? or a way to resize the notes so it fits in the pictures. If you want to see what it looks like check out this link.

It’s extremely nice done in contrast to the flickr integration from worrad.com which is a pain in the ass.
If there’s HTML code in an album description, it shows up as raw HTML on the page. Any idea how to fix that?
Am I the only one to have this installation problem? I followed everything to the T and after activating the plugin, the Falbum menu item shows up under WP Admin > Plugins. However, clicking on that Falbum link give me a 404 on http://www.xxx.com/wp-admin/falbum-plugin.php. Shouldn’t this falbum-plugin.php be in the wp-content/plugins/ directory instead of the /admin one? Any ideas?
Can someone figure this out… I’ve been even tried making copies of falbum files in the wp-admin directory since the falbum link seems to want to go there, but I still get an error when it tried to look for falbum_options. Please help. Thanks!
Hmm, I singled out the issue… but it’s beyond me. It has to do with a get_option bug in the way Wordpress 1.5 works. See http://ericanderson.us/blog/2005-03-08/hacking-wordpresss-get_option-object-unserialization/

I got it to work!
1. WP 1.5 isn’t enough… you have to update to WP 1.5.1.3
2. Since I was using a hacked WP 1.2 template, I had some more hacking to do to get header, sidebar, footer to show up properly. Playing with DIV tags is essential.
3. Use WP link_to Plugin (http://txfx.net/code/wordpress/page-links-to/) to have WP Page link to the /photos link
Only one problem remains…
My flickr annotations appear off to the side (See http://theory.isthereason.com/photos/album/161135/page/1/photo/6456599 ). Is there a way to fix this?
Great plugin! Just a couple of things. Since upgrading to version 0.3 I now actually get nothing on the /photos/ page at all. Other pages seem to work as the URLs are in the history – any ideas?
Secondly I get the following error on the photo set pages
XPath error in XPath.class.php:5813 The supplied xPath ‘//photoset[@id='579719']/title’ does not *uniquely* describe a node in the xml document.Not unique xpath-query, matched 0-times.
Be very grateful for any help on this.

Keir, I managed to get around that by turning off my “Tiger-style admin plugin”. For some reason that interfered with this plugin. No one helped me… tried everything on my own. There’s no support!
Kevin, thanks for the response. I will try and see if any of the other plugins are interfering. I only have a couple and have yet to install the Tiger plugin. Worth a try though, thanks for the tip.
Hi,
I installed this plugin, and I like it a lot. Only thing is, I’m cheap so even though I only have a free account, I want to list my photos in more than 3 photosets. One of the ways that I thought of for doing this was to create a new index page for photos where the photos are listed by tags. Does anyone know why the listing by tags takes so long? Or, does anyone have any ideas for getting around the 3 photoset limit?

Has anyone tried the flickr album with the “journalized-sand” theme and gotten it to work? If so could you please help an extremely frustrated user with it?
